From his beginnings in Cagayan de Oro City to his present endeavors in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, Dax—known affectionately to family and peers—comes from a deeply influential background. He is the son of Atty. Frederico Moreno Gapuz, a highly regarded Human Rights, Criminal, and Practicing Lawyer whose legacy continues to inspire, and Liberty Janubas Gapuz, a humble and God-fearing businesswoman. Though his father's passing in 2012 was a profound loss, the enduring wisdom from their personal conversations has now guided Dax to embark on his own public professional journey this April 2025. This step feels particularly significant, echoing his first full-time employment in the very same month two decades ago, suggesting a meaningful alignment of past and present.
